From wall to ocean
Growing up in East Berlin where vibrant colours were often hard to come by, I will never forget the riot of neon lights and bright colours that greeted me when my parents and I took our first trip to West Berlin.
Because smiles matter.
The more animals I painted, the more I realised how often they’d put a smile on people’s faces - and I’ve found this to be a wonderful incentive!
Light, colour, land.
Landscapes have fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and especially seascapes. They appear almost automatically when I sit down to paint, and nothing else allows me to get in the zone quite as much as painting landscapes.
